The house where Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stayed for a while during his visit to Alanya on February 18, 1935, was donated by its owner M. Tevfik Azakoğlu to the Ministry of Culture and turned into a museum in 1987.
Atatürk's personal belongings, photographs, Atatürk's telegrams to the people of Alanya and other historical documents are displayed on the ground floor of the three-storey building in the garden, which reflects the characteristics of 19th century Turkish architecture. In the rooms on the upper and lower floors, which are organized as a traditional Alanya house, there are exhibitions on topics such as weddings in Alanya, Alanya food and children's games in Alanya; examples of embroidery from Alanya and its surroundings; ethnographic artifacts such as clothes, jewelry and weapons.
