The ancient city of Isinda is a small Lycian city built on the hills and slopes near the Belenli neighborhood of Kaş district. Like some other Lycian settlements, it is more of a fortified position inhabited by a small lord or clan. Based on the two tomb monuments with Lycian inscriptions found in the settlement area, it can be said that the city existed since the 4th century BC. Inscriptions found in Belenli and Aperlai document that Isinda formed a political union with Aperlai, Apollonia and Simena.
The ruins of the ancient city are located on a medium sized hill above Belenli. Two monumental tombs in the form of houses with Lycian inscriptions are important remains. A part of the walls made of limestone blocks surrounding the acropolis and the natural formation of the region, wells and cisterns for collecting rainwater can also be seen inside the walls.
