Description

Upper Duden Waterfall is located 10 km. from the city center, in the Şelale Neighborhood within the borders of Kepez district. The waterfall, which ranks among the must-see natural beauties of Antalya, resembles a lush green oasis in the city with its surrounding recreation and picnic areas.

It is said that Alexander the Great gave water to his horses from this waterfall when he passed through the region. For this reason, Duden Waterfall is also referred to as Alexander Waterfall in some sources.

The waters of the waterfall, which is one of the attractions of Antalya with the appearance of its water offering a visual feast, its mysterious cave covered with cavities and many other natural beauties, create impressive views as it pours from a height of about 20 meters.

While visiting the waterfall, which is always cooler than Antalya city center, you can hear birds chirping among the greenery and listen to the relaxing sound of the rushing water, as well as witnessing a fascinating atmosphere. The natural pools formed by the waterfall offer a completely different visuality. There are restaurants and breakfast places located in the waterfall against the view. Those who wish can bring their own food and drinks and have a picnic in this unique atmosphere.

Düden Waterfall, a natural wonder, also sheds light on history with the ancient ruins inside. Ancient olive oil mills and ancient tombs dating back to the 2nd and 7th centuries BC within the borders of the waterfall continue to defy time.

With its exquisite beauty, the waterfall turns into a studio and set for some movies, TV series and brides and grooms. You can take the most aesthetic shots that will add color to your photo album here. Described as a corner of paradise, the waterfall welcomes city dwellers and hundreds of thousands of local/foreign tourists every year who want to get away from the routine city life.
